Goderich U10's earn a tie against Seaforth.
Everyone wore their game face today as we took to ice for a matinee game on Sunday.
Seaforth was first on the score board today, but Goderich answered and pulled a head down the last 2 minutes.
Our first goal was well deserved, scored by Chloe with the support of her forwards, Sarah and Eden. Our defensive lines stood firm, denying Seaforth with each turn - Mallory, Emma, Hailey and Grace were a force to be reckoned with! Their solid defense protect goalie Faith, who was on fire, stopping shot after shot, as Seaforth attempted to trip her up. With a Seaforth penalty on the clock, a power play headed out and quickly paid off, with Chloe scoring to tie it up, heading into the second period.
Offense took over, as Marley tucked one in the Seaforth net, with the help of her forwards, Gracie and Syndey as Goderich pulled a head with a single goal lead. Lauren, Jayden and Emily fought hard with multiple shots on net, keeping the play in Seaforth's end. With a small lead, Chloe headed down the ice with Mallory, and secured a two goal spread, with her third goal of the game. With two minutes and fifteen seconds left in the game, the pressure was on. Seaforth came out flying looking to redeem some points. Stopping shot after shot, goalie Faith was standing on her head. Seaforth finally broke through scoring two goals back to back as the clock ran down. A tie, four-all, and Goderich was thrilled. A huge success for the U10's. Congratulations girls, you earned it!
