Great start to the Richmond Hill Tournament
Two wins one game to go.
Friday afternoon our girls hit the ice with smiles and determination in their eyes. With one quick goal in the first thirty seconds our team was ahead 1-0 and still flying. The girls held the Waterloo Wildfires to a 2-0 lead after one full period of play. The next period the Wildfires came back with a goal and some speed but couldn't hold our girls off. Final score was 4-1 for Goderich go girls.
Bright and early Saturday morning our girls skipped breakfast and headed to the arena for their second game of the tournament. The game started off slightly slow but ours girls pushed through to start the game with the first goal of the game. As the ring flew back and forth across the ice we managed to pick up two more goals. Before the buzzer blew the Richmond Hill team took a quick shot and scored, leaving the score of 3-1 for us and our second win of the tournament. Great playing by all the forwards Megan D, Meaghan B, Emily, Chloe, Bryn, Noreena, Sarah, and Shannon. Our defence Kendra, Karly, Sage, and Nicole played great keeping the ring from getting too close to our goalie. The goal tending from Jessica was awesome. Great job girls good luck in your next game.
