What a start!

The U14 team travelled to Hensall to play their first game of the season against a tough Exeter team.
The team started the game with a barage of shots from the first whistle. Katie lead the way with 3 shots on the goalie her first shift!
It wasn't until the halfway mark of the first period that Exeter started the scoring, to go up 1-0. At 3:06 Lauren got her first goal of the game assisted by Sammi, and Jessica. With the score tied after the first period, the girls knew they had to work hard if they wanted beat this team.
The game was back and forth with each goalie putting on a clinic stopping shot after shot. Courtney backed us up in goal and without her the game could have ended up very 1 sided. Lauren notched her second goal, with the assist going to Katie.
With Exeter up with less than a minute left the coaches were biting their nails, until Erin came through with a quick shot that caught the goalie off guard tying the game with only 30 seconds left on the clock.
The girls knew they had to defend their end but with a unlucky bounce of the post the ring crossed the goal line with only 6.7 seconds left in the game.
Very stong performances were put forward by some of our new (to ringette) players Jordyn, Samantha, and Amy. Our Defence Brianne, Maddie, Kyra, and Jenna also stopped the Exeter forwards in the neautral zone. Excellent offensive performances put forward by Reagan and Grace. The coaching staff is proud of all the girls on a fantastic first game! Great Job Girls!
