3 All Tie Against Seaforth
If you weren't at the Seaforth arena Sunday night, you missed a great goalie duel !
Both the Storm and Goderich netminders were peppered with numerous shots and held their own.
Goderich has had Seaforth's number all year, with three wins in their previous meetings this season, however the story of this game was the talented goal tending as each end of the rink.
The goal scorers in this contest were Captain Holly Ryan, with her now patented laser-wrister to the top corner after a cool shovel pass from Hayley Austin.
Goderich then had to wait until the second period to see some other markers on the board while Seaforth kept up the pressure and took a 2-1 lead into the final frame.
Abby (Sniper) Hoy tied the game up at the 9:58 mark with a wrister from the slot that had a little mustard on it as well. Ryan added the lone assist on this tally.
Seaforth then regained the lead when a forward managed to get in behind the Goderich defence which created a break-away.
Kaity Peters tied the game late with a nice spinnerama move in front and fired a back hander into the lower part of the net, unassisted.
The U19 crew have a bye week and then Seaforth returns for exhibition play Jan 23 at the MRC at 1:30 pm.
